Why Thermostats?

Wifi Thermostats

Wired or Wireless

We have a range of thermostats on offer to suit the requirements of your hydronic heating system and home. Whilst most of our units are wired (meaning they’re powered by your home’s electricity supply), we do also offer a wireless battery-operated unit – the Siemens RDH100 – for situations where this is not possible.

Control via Your Phone

If you have opted for one of our Wifi thermostats, such as the Google Nest or Honeywell WIFI9000, you’ll also be able to control your heating system via your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Turn it on before you get home so that the house is nice and toasty when you arrive or double check that you turned the system off before you left that morning.

“Recently completed a renovation and did lots of research on which hydronic company (and brand) to go with.... eventually went with Craig at Cambro and so glad we did. So helpful and easy to deal with, communicated well with our builder, and love the transparency with pricing. Everything is clearly priced so you know what you're paying for.”

Automated Control

Depending on the hydronic heating thermostat you have chosen, some degree of automated control may also be possible. Take the Google Nest, for example, which can intuitively learn your heating patterns over time and adhere to them – no programming required.

Energy Star Certified

Did you know that the Google Nest was the first thermostat for hydronic heating systems to receive an Energy Star Rating? If you are looking to make sustainable and environmentally friendly choices for your home, this unit is definitely a step in the right direction.

A thermostat is included as a part of your hydronic heating installation. Our qualified team will work with you to choose a unit that best meets the needs of your system and your lifestyle, as well as provide some basic training once the installation is complete.

How does a thermostat control hydronic heating?

It works similarly to how thermostats control other heating systems. It detects the temperature of the air in the room and switches the heater on when the temperature drops below the target. It switches the heater off once the target temperature has been reached again.

Do all thermostats work with all types of hydronic heating?

All of the thermostats in our range are compatible with all types of hydronic system for maximum convenience. This includes underfloor, trench heating, panel radiators and towel rails. They’re also compatible with both boilers and heat pumps.

6 year warranty
Alongside the 6 year workmanship warranty that we offer on our installation, each of our boilers for sale is protected by a manufacturer’s warranty. This period is generally 2 years, however, it does differ for some models.
